VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE-2009) MCA and MTech

VIT University Tamilnadu will conduct VITMEE – 2009 (VIT Master’s Entrance Examination) – will be held on 7th June 2009 (Sunday) for Admission to the following programmes:

Candidates with valid GATE percentile of 90 and above are exempt from VITMEE but need to apply

Programmes Offered:  Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and MTech in
Automotive Engineering (in association with Automotive Research Association of India, Pune)
(First year of study at VIT University, Vellore and Second year at ARAI, Pune)
Automotive Electronics,Computer Science & Engineering,Power Electronics & Drives,Bio-Medical Engineering,Energy & Environmental Engineering,Sensor System Technology,Biotechnology,Information Technology (Networking),Structural Engineering
CAD / CAM,Mechatronics,VLSI Design,Communication Engineering,Nanotechnology

Scholarships :

100% tuition fee waiver to GATE top scorers. In addition, a total sum of Rs.1, 68,000/- will be
awarded a stipend (paid on monthly basis) for 2 years.
A total sum of Rs.1, 70,000/- will be paid as stipend and contingency (monthly and annual basis) for candidates with high GATE scores for MTech Nanotechnology under the DST-Nanotechnology initiative programme.
A stipend of 4800 Euros (Approx. Rs.2.5 lakhs) will be paid during the second year of study at UAS Karlsruhe, Germany (under DAAD fellowship) for MTech Sensor System Technology; this is given to the top GATE or VITMEE scorers.

List of Designated Branches of Post Offices (GPO/HO) where Application Form and Information Brochure for MCA and MTech Degree Programmes can be procured against cash payment of Rs.900/- (Rupees Nine Hundred Only).

Eligibility:

Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% for MCA and 50% for MTech degree programmes.
Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required.
Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT University.
It is compulsory for candidates selected to produce their final year marks’ statement and Provisional degree certificate before August 15th, failing which, their admission will stand cancelled.

From the designated branches of GPO / HPO’s on cash payment of Rs.900/-. Details of branches from which applications will be sold is available in the VIT www.vit.ac.in

by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.900/- drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with a request letter containing full address of the applicant (OR)

By handing over a DD for Rs.900/- in person at VIT University, Vellore (or) at our Chennai Administrative Office.
