Seats in engineering education to be increased
In a pleasant surprise for students, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal on Thursday announced an increase of almost 200,000 seats in engineering courses in India.
As part of reforms in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) norms, the minister also announced additional 80,000 seats in management and 2,200 seats in architecture courses.
