GGSIP University to conduct entrance exam for various courses
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of Delhi has made amendments in their admission policy which will become operational from the session 2011-12. The new modifications made by the university are likely to benefit the students from next year. The university has decided to eliminate the entrance test for few programmes and for some of the other programmes, the varsity will be conducting a joint entrance tests.
According to the vice-chancellor Prof D K Bandhyopadya, the new amendments have been made keeping in mind the students’ comfort level and their benefits. The vice-chancellor also said that the varsity has made a special team which will be visiting the examination centers so that nothing goes wrong.
The examination controller of the varsity, Prof. Yogesh Singh declared that under their new policy the entrance test for the MBA part time programme will not be conducted from next year. The selection of students will purely be made on the basis of their merit list.
Singh also said that the entrance exam for all the MTech programmes will not be there. However the admission will be done on two criteria’s. One, the students appearing for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) can apply for the admission and the second is on the basis of the merit.
In addition to this, the varsity will be conducting joint entrance test for programmes like BPharma, BHMS, BPT, BOT and BSC. The three days test will now be conducted only on one day.
