AIEEE Papers : Combinations of subjects

AIEEE stands for All India Entrance Exam'>Engineering Entrance Examination. This is an entrance exam specifically for engineering colleges and institutes in India. The minimum academic qualification to apply for AIEEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or equal qualifying examination. Those who are appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination can also appear in AIEEE 2009 for consideration of provisional admission. AIEEE exam is held by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for engineering, architecture, planning and pharmacy. Since the AIEEE program is offered either in English or Hindi this choice must be stated while applying in the application form and it cannot be changed. Here are the combinations of subjects for AIEEE. a) Course: B.E/B.Tech Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Mathematics Optional Subjects (Any subject out of these): Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/ Biology b) Course: B.Pharma Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Chemistry Optional Subjects (Any subject out of these): Mathematics, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology c) Course: B.Arch/B.Planning Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Mathematics Optional Subjects (Any subject out of these): Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering, Drawing

About the Examination Papers: Here are the combinations of papers for AIEEE exam: a) Paper1

Subjects: Physics & Chemistry

No. of questions: 150 objective type questions with equal weightage to Physics & Chemistry

Total Marks: 450

b) Paper2

Subjects: Mathematics

No. of questions: 75 objective type questions

Total Marks: 225 c) Paper3

Subjects: Biology (Botany & Zoology)

No. of questions: 75 objective type questions with almost equal weightage to Botany & Zoology

Total Marks: 225 c) Paper4

Subjects: Aptitude Test – Part I, Aptitude Test – Part II

No. of questions: Part I contains 50 objective type questions, Part 2 contains 2 questions to test drawing aptitude.

Total Marks: Part I contains 150 marks, Part II contains 75 marks, Here is the combination of papers for different courses: a) Course: B.E/B.Tech

Papers: Paper-1 and Paper-2 b) Course: B.Pharma

Papers: Paper-1 and Paper-2 (or Paper-3 in lieu of Paper-2) c) Course: B.Arch/B.Planning Papers: Paper-2 and Paper-4 Three papers are with objective type questions. The fourth paper includes objective type questions and two questions to test drawing aptitude.
