Bookboon.com – providing free textbooks for students
I've been amazed again what the internet has to offer. I need that you could download books from the web but hadn't thought that was true for textbooks until I came across the site www.bookboon.com. That site offers short summaries (finally someone who does that) in quite some subject areas. First I thought they had to be joking that I could just download the books without paying or registration. So I wrote them to ask what the deal was with their books. They replied that they were able to give these books away for free because they have some ads in the books – but only HR and recruitment (which is true) + that it would be targeted at what direction I was studying and where I was from (also true). So it seems thaat there are actually people that do what they say…..
